We are looking for an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team based in Darwin.

Our range of projects include building, civil, environmental / remediation projects and demolition / decommissioning projects; which consistently ensure high quality project delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating detailed project schedules that include baselines, all relevant tasks, milestones, as well as managing float and critical path.
  • They must ensure that these schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with the construction project’s scope of work.
  • Identify any dependencies between tasks or projects and ensure that they are managed effectively to avoid delays or bottlenecks.
  • Regularly monitor project progress and update schedules in conjunction with Project Team. Communicate any changes to project managers, contractors, and subcontractors in a timely and effective manner.
  • Produce earned value forecasts and report on same weekly with project team.
  • Ensure that resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, are allocated effectively to meet construction project requirements.
  • Identify potential risks to project schedules and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks. They must work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to manage project risks and ensure that construction projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Compile and analyze data related to project schedules, resource allocation, and progress. They must use this data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, to ensure that schedules and plans are aligned with construction project goals and objectives

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Degree/Diploma qualified in Engineering, building or construction project management preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experieince on Australian commercial, residential and/or civil projects or experience in a similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel & project
  • Proficient reporting skills (both in writing and presenting)
  • Firm understanding of the best practice scheduling
  • Hold a construction safety card
