With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking experienced Project Managers to join our team to work on various projects across our extensive portfolio based in Townsville.

Reporting to the Townsville Regional Manager, your primary responsibility will be successfully managing projects from contract award through execution and close-out. The role effectively manages people and processes to deliver the projects on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned to the company’s objectives.

About the role:

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Demonstrate excellent time and people management skills.
  • Proficient in commercial process including cost control, forecasting, project reporting, and contract management.
  • Leading and managing internal and external contractors with effective and clear communication.
  • Problem solving and innovation as an individual and part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to WHS, environmental standards and champion a safety focused approach to work
  • Developing positive relationships with team members, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Experience in generating detailed construction schedules, and cost/cash flow management
  • Clear understanding of Building Codes and building work best practices, with a high attention to detail.

Qualifications:

(held or willing to obtain)

  • Demonstrated construction and/ or project management experience
  • White Card
  • Operator tickets preferred (eg excavator, bobcat, EWP, forklift, MR licence)
  • Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety
  • Competent computer skills
  • Senior First aid
  • Asbestos removal
  • Registered builder’s certification preferred

About you:

  • Team player that can also work autonomously, with strong time management skills.
  • Experience in managing small to medium sized projects and delivering them to the highest safety standards
  • Experience in MS Project, Outlook, Word and
  • Excel Procore, Pronto ERP, P6 or similar programs is desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Well presented, positive and professional
  • Flexible with away from home work on intermittent basis
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions for the project in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to build positive relationships with clients, project team, management, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol and fit for work assessment.
  • Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
