The Environmental Services customer stream delivers Demolition and Asbestos Removal, Industrial Services, Hazardous and contaminated site remediation across Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking for an Industrial Operations Coordinator to work within our Industrial Services business unit. The Industrial Operations Coordinator is accountable to the Project Manager for the direct areas of work and for implementing and administering the requirements of the associated Industrial Plan or Commissioning Plan and Project Plans inclusive of Quality, Environmental Management System and Workplace Health and Safety Programs to ensure “Safe Systems of Work”.

It is your responsibility to keep the Project Manager informed of any actual or potential cost and/or contractual issues. This role requires interaction with supervisors, peers and subordinates in a professional manner and always being focused on the “One Team” Philosophy for the project.

About the role:

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Review information in the Work Pack contents, commence planning and ensuring the work scope is addressed, all interfaces identified and tasks are listed for delegation and monitoring.
  • Participate in shutdown Reviews of allocated specific Work Packs (zones / areas) and manage the work crews to perform the defined scope of work
  • Implementation of the Safety Management Plan and developing and monitoring a safe work culture within the work teams.
  • Efficient, cost effective, and timely execution of the defined work within program and budget constraints.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance and growth
  • Monthly reports against targets for key project activities and initiatives.
  • Initiate, recommend, provide and verify solutions to identified quality, safety and environmental issues.
  • Liaise with Company personnel and other external personnel as required by the works.
  • Ensure clients and their needs are a primary focus of your actions.
  • Proactively identify and develop strategic client relationships.
  • Undertake activities in compliance with Company policies, standards, procedures, and relevant acts/legislation.
  • Perform work in a manner which ensures the safety and wellbeing of yourself, your co-workers and those around you.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HPWJ Qualified
  • Vacuum Recovery Qualified
  • Hold a current first aid accreditation
  • Hold a current driver’s license
  • Experience in Project cost control budgeting, procurements and forecasting.
  • Excellent management skills and the ability to inspire others and create a great culture, managing a diverse team.
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities overlayed with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Experience in using Microsoft professional suite and ideally experience with Project Management platforms such as Pronto XI, Procore, Aconex, P6 Primavera and Adobe (or similar) and a range of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
