With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking a Civil Estimator to join our Civil & Infrastructure team to work on our various projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Estimator, your primary responsibility will be preparing and delivering estimates, budgets, and cost plans for construction projects. You will also ensure the timely completion of the work using reliable data from various consultants, vendors and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing RFX documentation and assisting in the planning of tender estimation preparation
  • Assisting in developing pricing components and identifying associated subcontractors and suppliers
  • Providing assistance in preparing take-offs of materials and preparing RFQ for suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Supporting in producing tender documentation
  • Identifying alternative construction approaches in collaboration with the bidding team
  • Maintaining a centralised cost-estimating database
  • Providing recommendations to cost estimating procedures
  • Participating in internal governance reviews and providing advice on risks and opportunities associated with the tender
  • Reviewing work done by the estimation team

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Qualification in Engineering, Estimation, or Cost Management
  • Construction White Card and Current driver’s license
  • Demonstrated experience in estimation of large construction projects
