About The Role:

With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our Northern Territory team to work on our various projects based in NT. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the implementation and administration of the contractual and financial processes for the project. Participate in management and communication of the customers, consultants and other relevant stakeholders, in absence of the project manager as and when required.

This role is a full-time Permanent opportunity based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Relocation cost is covered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Contract terms and conditions for projects and assigned project targets and accountabilities in conjunction with Project Manager
  • Prepare and obtain an agreement of variation claims to the customers
  • Prepare and obtain an agreement of variation concerning extension of time claims with the customers
  • Evaluate, documents, submits and negotiates notices of all delays – inclement weather, industrial, design etc. which effect the effect the financial and programmed completion of the project.
  • Ensure that the Site Manager/Site Supervisor are knowledgeable of the subcontractor(s) scope of works and contract as well as respond to inquiries from subcontractors to ensure full understanding of the scope of works.
  • Evaluate tender submissions to ensure coverage of scope of works, subcontractors’ capability and expertise in delivery of scale and quantities involved
  • Review and approve subcontract documentation prior to issuing.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager calls and manages pre-tender meetings for subcontractors to familiarise potential subcontractors with the scale and complexity of the project.
  • Processes subcontractor payments including assessment of works completed, valuation of variations, processing of back charges, monitoring and evaluating site instructions and monitoring issue of payments.
  • Ensures subcontractor statutory requirements are being met;
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and consultants to promote and identify project opportunities

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Diploma or Degree Qualified in Finance/administration or construction related course
  • Strong Contracts administration knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial construction contract managerment
  • A knowledge of construction scheduling and cash flow management
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skill
  • Hold a current Driver’s license
  • Experience in estimating desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of progress claims, variations, contractual notices
  • Experience in cost control, forecasting and monthly reporting
