Project Overview
Stage 1 of the Community Clean Up Program involved thorough asbestos audits across 72 Indigenous communities.
The Federal Government’s Community Clean Up Program involved the completion of Asbestos Audits for more than 72 Indigenous communities throughout the Northern Territory.
Through this challenging project, McMahon Services demonstrated the abillity to implement an efficient asbestos management program whilst remaining respectful of different environmental and cultural issues within Indigenous communities.
Data obtained from this Program will aid future housing programs, such as the Strategic Indigenous Housing Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) and the Northern Territory Government’s on-going Repairs and Maintenance Program.
McMahon Services then went on to complete Stage 2 of the Program which included painting and maintenance work for over 580 homes in 12 selected communities across the Northern Territory.
