The Industrial Services team recently expanded its fleet of vacuum trucks with the purchase of two new Jamieson 8×4 Combo Isuzu vacuum trucks. The Vacuum Recovery Units provides a high performance industrial vacuum service, capable of vacuuming solids through to oils and sludges.

McMahon Services has customised the units to include a boiler (situated beside the “high pressure unit”) to enable both cold and hot high pressure cleaning. The advantage of hot pressure cleaning is the ability to service oil spill clean-ups. This mobile, self-contained is ideal for emergency response works.

The truck is fitted with dual 1500cfm (42m³/min) liquid ring pumps that allows for variation in the vacuum to efficiently extract water, hydrocarbons, thick sludge and other liquid materials of varying density and viscosity. This feature saves on both fuel and time taken to complete remediation works. A 5000psi (34MPa) high-pressure hydro unit allows for fast and efficient site clean ups after vacuuming is complete.

The vacuum trucks have been co-branded as McMahon Services and Intract Australia. The exteriors were sandblasted and finished with an undercoat and surface coat of white two pack paint.
