Ready to Roar!

Intract joins as Premier Partners and is ready to roar with the NT Thunder

Roaring and ready to go, McMahon Services continues in 2013 as the proud Premier Partners of the inspiring Northern Territory Football Club – but this year things are a little different.

McMahon Services’ Indigenous division – Intract Indigenous Contractors – are joining the Partnership with a shared vision of helping young Aboriginal people secure skills training and long-term employment.

McMahon Services launched Intract back in 2010 with the aim of providing Aboriginal people with education and on-the job experience to secure stable employment across the mining and civil construction industries.

Intract is thrilled to be part of the NT Thunder Premier Partnership and will be a strong force in furthering the Club’s vision to improve education, employment, training, health, leadership and wellbeing in local Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory.

Legendary AFL footballer and McMahon Services’ Indigenous Ambassador – Michael Long – can see real opportunities in bloom.

“It is great to see the Indigenous community coming together and what better way than through the spirit of football” he said.

“This is a powerful Partnership, with two Indigenous groups working side-by-side to become a voice for Indigenous welfare and to celebrate achievement both on and off the field as role models for young Aboriginal people.

“McMahon Services has a long history working with Indigenous communities, particularly across the Northern Territory, and I am proud to stand along-side David and Andrew McMahon and be a spokesperson for a great initiative such as the development of Intract” he said.

McMahon Services and Intract are fired up for the season ahead and look forward to working closely with the NT Thunder and local communities over the coming years to deliver a shared vision and of course, to bring home the premiership title!
