Intract Indigenous Contractors receive national honour at 2011 EDA Awards
In October, Intract Indigenous Contractors received a Highly Commended honour at the 2011 Economic Development Australia Awards.
The Indigenous Economic Development Award, sponsored by Indigenous Business Australia, recognises companies who demonstrate best practice and implement innovative programs that contribute to the economic growth of Indigenous communities.
Intract General Manager, John Briggs was thrilled with the achievement, “It’s great to see the Intract initiative recognised at a national level within its first 12 months of operation”.
“We are committed to working with Indigenous communities, and instilling confidence to help them develop economic independence and wealth generation” he said.
Intract is off to a great start with nine graduates completing training and securing employment, and a team of 15 are now actively working on projects around Adelaide, Milang, Woomera and the Gawler Craton.
