Building Supervisor – Darwin, NT

About the Role

We seek an exceptionally professional Building Supervisor to join our NT division, with a proven history of working as an efficient Building Supervisor on various construction projects. Our range of projects include building, civil, environmental / remediation projects and demolition / decommissioning projects; which consistently ensure high quality project delivery outcomes.

Success in this role, will enable you to demonstrate the following:

• Safety Leadership, actively promoting safety initiatives and implementing risk management techniques
• Working with the Project Team, to ensure compliance with Client and McMahon Services’ safety, quality and business processes
• Read, Interpret and Communicate Plans Effectively
• Effectively Manage Task sequencing and planning, focussing on efficiency
• Communicates and consults with site management, trade specific and field personnel to a high level
• Maximising resource usage, with the goal of efficiency
• Ensure project is meeting program and actively seeks programme acceleration
• Manage and schedules resources, identifying peak periods of resource usage within budget limitations
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions for the project
• Effective communication and builds positive relationships with clients, project team, management, suppliers and subcontractors
• Use problem solving abilities to find innovative solutions
• Builds a team culture within the work crew/s
• Accepts and adheres to the quality standards dictated by the project; and has a personal goal to achieve the standards in the most time and cost-efficient methods
• The ability to work away is required in this position

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role within Australia
• Trade or civil background or equivalent industry experience.

To be successful in this role, you will have a sound knowledge in the use of Microsoft Project and Excel; and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
