Naracoopa site demolition of all existing above ground structures.

The Mobil Naracoopa Project involved the demolition of all above ground structures on the site. These consisted of 3 above ground storage tanks, fire pump house, office and amenities block, fill shed foam and pump house, all concrete pathways and hard stands along with all remaining pipework and its associated supporting structures.

McMahon Services were selected for this project based on their extensive prior experience in such tasks and their excellent working relationship and safety record with Mobil Oil Australia.

As part of the project asbestos was removed from a number of the structures prior to demolition. A number of drum burial pits were identified on site. These were remediated and then back filled upon certification by independent environmental consultants engaged by Mobil.

McMahon Services sourced a most favourable steel recycling price through the Sims Group and passed on a credit of some $28,000 000 to Mobil from steel salvaged from the demolition phase of the project.
