This project included civil works, environmental management, waste disposal, asbestos removal and demolition.
McMahon Services were contracted by Hansen Yuncken to prepare the Glenside Hospital precinct for all new infrastructure including; deep sewer, storm water, water mains, common services, new roads, footpaths and building pads, as well as civil works, environmental management, waste disposal, asbestos removal and demolition.
An Environmental Management Representative from McMahon Services was appointed specifically for this project to ensure a high level of environmental care and consideration.
Tracking of all onsite and imported material was recorded. Material was screened and contaminated material disposed of to EPA regulation standards. Environmental testing was undertaken by AEC Environmental.
Special care was required when working on the Heritage listed areas on the Glenside Hospital precinct. The engagement of an Archeologist assisted the uncovering of a wall dating back over 100 years.
Works continue to commence, with the McMahon Services team meeting all major milestones outlined in the project program and assisting with matters outside the original scope.
