ResourceCo

ResourceCo started operations in 1991 as a contract concrete crushing business. From its early days it quickly established itself at the forefront of resource recovery Australia-wide. In 1992 the board of ResourceCo recognised the need to set up a central facility that could service a wider range of customer needs and process a greater volume of waste through commercial and industrial waste recycling. And, in 1997 they commissioned the construction of a purpose built processing facility. ResourceCo currently accept and process approximately 600,000 tonnes of concrete and asphalt per annum.
In May 1999 ResourceCo established a new recycling facility at Wingfield, allowing the recycling of a further 180,000 tonnes of mixed construction and demolition waste per annum - a total of 780,000 tonnes. ResourceCo enables 800 customers to divert their waste from landfills to a recycling centre. These customers are encouraged to reuse the recycled products in their civil and building works, and refer to this as 'closing the loop'. www.resourceco.com.au
