'Tee off Fore Life' Golf Day
Aimed at raising money for vital medical research, the 'Tee off Fore Life' Golf Day supports the Royal Adelaide Hospital Rsearch Fund and has been an important initiative at McMahon Services since inception. The money raised goes towards prostate cancer research for Radiation Oncology and a research program in Intensive Care which investigates better ways to treat patients who develop blood infections that claim more than 300 lives each year. In 2011 the Golf Day raised $51,000 - a new record and a fantastic effort!

McMahon services were proud silver sponsors of the inaugural Nyrstar Smelters Ball raising money for the Uniting Care Wesley's Child Foster Home Upgrade in Port Pirie. With over 290 guests, the event raised $51,000 which will go towards providing foster children with better housing facilities and an environment to learn and grow.

Monarto Zoo - Painted Dog Enclosure
To assist the Monarto Zoo Carnivore Department and PhD student Nicole Anderson with a multi-faceted trial, McMahon Services offered a substantial upgrade and and modification of the African Painted Dog facility. This study provides a valuable learning experience, allowing staff to build on skills and management of the species, as well as the opportunity to be involved in the contribution of in-situ conservation.
Port Pirie Skate Park Appeal 2007
To bring the skate park dream to life, McMahon Services donated $20,000 to the Port Pirie Skate Park Appeal. As one of Port Pirie's major employers, especially young apprentices and workers with children, this project was particularly important, creating a space where the community could come together and have some fun!
Ronald McDonald House Demolition
To make way for a new, state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald House, McMahon Services donated demolition services to prepare the Melbourne Street address. RMHC is a non-for-profit organisation that helps seriously ill children when they need it most, and have helped over 65,000 families to date.
Salvation Army - Muggy's Accommodation
To help support Adelaide's disadvantaged youths, the demolition division at McMahon Services offered to prepare the site earmarked for the construction of Muggy's Accommodation - an initiative of the Salvation Army Ingle Farm and Families SA to provide accommodation for young people aged 16-18 who are under the guardianship of the Minister and have experienced multiple placements. The residential care home provides a safe environment for young people to develop their independent living skills and gain extra support in times of crisis.
